Shiri Maimon “Conquered” Argentina

In an outstanding performance at the Sheraton Hotel in Buenos Aires, the Israeli Singer Shiri Maimon fascinated a big audience (800 persons). A strong but sweet voice and the audience’s ovation showed that Keren Hayesod did the right thing for choosing her as the representative for the 90 anniversary celebrations.
On Sunday night, the “wonderful” Israeli Singer Shiri Maimon gave an impressive performance at Sheraton Hotel, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in one of all the celebrations worldwide marking the 90 anniversary of Keren Hayesod.
Shiri proved to be excellent to 800 Argentineans, who gave her a standing ovation. They sang along sons like Yerushalaim shel zaav, Ahava Ktana, Hasheket Shenishar , Haleluya, and Shir la Shalom.
Maimon gave a high level performance, representing the new era of Israeli artists.
The event started with speeches by the Israeli Ambassador in Argentina, Daniel Gazit; Yoel Embon, Latin America director for Keren Hayesod; and Jorge Stern, President of Campaña Unida.
Shay Maor, Keren Hayesod’s Director for Argentina, was the one responsible for the success of the event.
Following Sunday’s excellent live performance, Shiri Maimon will be singing Monday night in the Gran Rex, one of the biggest theatres in Buenos Aires.
Talking to the Jewish News Agency (Agencia Judía de Noticias in Spanish) Maimon affirmed that “It is a huge honor to be in Argentina, representing Israel.”
